PROCEDURE
Sample to determine if the material containing chromium or a specific process, operation, or activity involving chromium cannot release dusts, fumes, or mists of chromium (VI) in concentrations at or above 0.5 µg/m3 as a TWA under any expected conditions of use.

RESPONSE
If it cannot release dusts, fumes, or mists of chromium (VI) in concentrations at or above 0.5 µg/m3 as a TWA under any expected conditions of use, stop the standard does not apply.

If it can release dusts, fumes, or mists of chromium (VI) in concentrations at or above 0.5 µg/m3 as a TWA under any expected conditions of use, go to Step 4.
